Using your phone to send txt messages is now one of the most popular applications of mobiles, and in fact, 80% of people under the age of 25 are more likely to send someone a text message than call.

In this section, we take a look at the ways we currently send messages - by simple text (SMS), with simple pictures and sounds (EMS), or by using video, images or audio in a multimedia message (MMS).
