vCalendar
A platform- and transport-independent format for exchanging schedule and calendar information so that any vCalendar-aware application can send or receive information to or from any other vCalendar-aware application. For example, users with mobile phones running vCalendar-compliant applications can automatically schedule meetings by sending an SMS or over an infrared link.
