PCMCIA
Acronym for: Personal Computer Memory Card International Association.
An international organisation that consists of approximately 500 companies, which has developed a standard for PC cards. There are three different types of PCMCIA cards, each with the same rectangular size (54x85.6 mm) but different widths.
