Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN)
A high quality fixed telephone line used primarily for data transfer or for video conferencing. Most ISDN lines provide two lines at once: one for voice and the other for data. Alternatively, both lines can be used at once for data to give data rates of 128 Kbps.
