International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI)
A unique serial number used to identify a digital mobile phone handset. It can also be used to stop a stolen phone from accessing the network. You should always keep a note of your IMEI as you will need to quote it to your network provider and the police if your phone is ever lost or stolen. The number can normally be found under the battery or by entering *#06# into the phone and pressing Send.
