Digital Modulation
A method of encoding information for transmission designed to replace analogue transmission. The system reduces voice to binary code, which is reconverted at the receiving end. Digital transmission offers less static, stronger reception, fewer dropped calls, greater call handling capacity, improved call privacy, and the potential for additional data and voice service such as computer data and fax transmission.
